Lianna Carrera is the gay daughter of a Southern Baptist Minister and a Deaf mom. She has toured both nationally and internationally through Ireland and South Africa. Sure, Lianna has credits to her name like The Laugh Factory and The Tennessee Performing Arts Center as well as an array of comedy clubs and festivals, but she prides herself in never having taken the traditional route. Lianna is most proud of proving herself in peculiar spaces. She's performed in hotel lobbies, on top of picnic tables at father and son picnics, in well-lit cafeterias in front of all deaf audiences with a sign language interpreter. Lianna has gumption and creativity. She feigned representation for the first half of her career, building a budding career for herself under the name "Anne Haley." She found herself touring internationally and landing auditions for late-night television shows such as David Letterman.
Lianna is a comic who has heeded the advice, Never turn down a stage. With her delightful personality and incongruent background it is easy for Lianna to connect with a wide range of people. Lianna has found a way to reach out beyond the labels that define us and consistently engage her audience in such a sincere way, that audience members have repeatedly drawn parallels to the playfulness, talent, and comedic timing of Ellen DeGeneres.
Lianna Graduated in 2007 with a degree in Political Science from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA and is 25 years old.
She currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with her two mini-daschund
